****** IMPORTANT NOTICE ******
I have recently heard that postage to mail a postcard is increasing in a few weeks. Email me or message me with your address, and I will send you a Montana postcard! Also, let's give that local post office some business!!
***** WE NOW RETURN YOU TO YOUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED BLOG POST*****
If you have been staying up on my recent posts, you already realize we spent the new year in Iowa this year (celebrating Christmas). Here are my two favorite photos from the trip:

At Peace Tree Brewing in Knoxville, IA. Mom ordered the sampler, but we all helped. They had some pretty good beers and the atmosphere was great! |

I like to think Cy was pointing at me because he sensed my supreme fandom. This was from the Iowa State basketball game we went to.
Jeff and I were joined by my brother and his girlfriend on New Years Eve. We spent some time at my parents' house, enjoying the party they were hosting for some of their friends. Then we went to the home of a good friend of mine from Ames, who happened to be in town from California, visiting her family, her boyfriend joining her, as well. So we rang in New Years Eve, three couples, with a low-key night of Taboo and Apples to Apples and a new drink called "Glug" (though I'm not sure how to spell it...). It was just the right blend of family and friends, and a good way to start 2012-- with laughter.
Jeff and I did talk about resolutions just a bit, too. We had the standard resolutions of working out more and eating better. I also made a goal more in the realm of interpersonal relationships-- Make New Friends, but Keep the Old. I am terrible, terrible, terrible at keeping in touch with old friends, and on the flipside, can be kind of shy and reclusive, so making new friends takes time, too. I borrowed this phrase from my Brownie Scout days and am hoping to put it into action. I WILL Make new Friends and Keep the Old! I'm not "hoping," I WILL do it!
Mentioned in a previous post, I also am planning to be more regular about updating the blog. I have also been told I need more photos with my posts... so I will work on that, too. I would like to spend this year learning more about farming, Montana, and this way of life, and exploring my role among all of it. That's what this blog is all about, anyway. On that note, Cheers to all!
What are your resolutions???
