This week for Thankful Thursday, I'm hitting you up with an easy one. Pretty predictable, I know, but I'm super thankful for my dog, Harvey!

Just look at that face! |
Lately, when I've been working out indoors, Harvey has really gotten into it, too. A few weeks back, I was jogging on the treadmill and Harvey wedged himself into the narrow space between the treadmill and the wall in our workout room and just stared at me while I ran!
Then, yesterday, I was going through my plank series (I'm up to 3 minutes of more-or-less solid planking!) and Harvey decided he needed to help me out with that, too! He did his own downward dog and plank series in and around my space. At one point, he laid down underneath me while I was doing the basic plank! Every time I moved into a new position, he moved too. At times, I had to pause because I was giggling so hard! :) I really wished I had some way to take photos during this sequence but I couldn't plank
and take photos at the same time. Maybe I can try to stage it sometime and see what happens.
Anyway. I am so thankful and happy to have Harvey in my life! He is such a wonderful, sweet, smart, happy, energetic dog and he brings joy to my life every day.

"Mom- when are we going for a walk?" |
Harvey is a four year old Hungarian Vizsla. He likes long walks or runs, tummy scratches, looking out his window, snuggling on the couch, being under the covers in the bed, begging for treats, and love. Harvey loves love. Yep. He's my first dog and I love him! Works out pretty well, actually, since, you know, he loves love.

Here, Harvey is taking a break from looking out his favorite window. |
We actually have a Vizsla calendar in our house. It features a different super cute Vizsla dog each month, and always includes a nice quote about dogs or Vizslas. Here's the quote for this month,
"A dog wags its tail with its heart." ~ Martin Buxbaum.
In other news, this is my 299th post to this blog, which means my next post will be number 300. Since it is Thankful Thursday, I wanted to give a big shout out of thanks to all my readers who have hung around this long and continue to check in and read my blog! I really appreciate all of you, and your kind thoughts and comments really keep me going!
What are you thankful for this week?
What a heartwarming post! I too am so thankful for my vizsla, she who loves love :) Harvey is such a handsome boy and I love how vizslas always have such a furrowed brow like they are trying so hard to understand what you're saying. Great pictures, great post! Cheers to the vizslas!
ReplyDeleteAnd PS- I think we have the same calendar! I have been thinking about making one myself though of pictures of Matilda. And YES- you can't do a plank without a kiss in the face at our house either.
I swear my dog's vocabulary of human words is expanding daily! I think when he looks at me with the furrowed brow look, he is understanding more than I think! Dogs are so smart, and vizslas are no exception! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! :)
